Quick Universal Check (EID via *#06#)

  1. On your phone/tablet, dial *#06#.
  2. If EID (Embedded Identity Document) appears on the screen, the device supports eSIM. If EID is not present, check the settings (see below) or the model specifications.

Alternatively (if *#06# did not work):

  • iPhone/iPad: Settings → General → About → EID.
  • Android/Pixel: Settings → About phone → SIM Status / EID (on Pixel also: Settings → Network & internet → Mobile network → Add → “Download SIM instead?” → “Activation in store?” - EID will be displayed).

Important for iPhone: ensure the device is unlocked: Settings → General → About → SIM Restrictions = “No SIM restrictions”.

How to Activate eSIM (briefly)

iPhone

  1. Settings → Cellular → Add eSIM (or “Set up Cellular”).
